Nicolas Bassan

Head of Science and Innovation - Cofounder at Open Mind Neurotechnologies

Nicolas Bassan has a wealth of work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. In 2012, they served as an Assistant Researcher at the CNRS, where they supervised experimental protocols and conducted statistical analyses of the results. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant at Acoucit\u00e9 Observatoire de l'environnement sonore du Grand Lyon, where they conducted statistical analysis of a survey related to the creation of a new sound perception index. In 2015, they became a Data Analyst at Talentoday, where they created SaaS tools with the R&D team and built psychometrics questionnaires. In 2016, they assumed the role of Research Psychologist at Oekon. In 2017, they became the Head of Science and Innovation and Cofounder at Open Mind Neurotechnologies, where they worked on the development of therapeutic and immersive video games in virtual reality inspired by mindfulness and biofeedback techniques.

Nicolas Bassan obtained a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Ecole de Psychologues Praticiens in the years 2011 to 2015. Nicolas has also obtained additional certifications, such as Microphenomenological interviews from microphenomenology in February 2019, Instruction de groupes de Thérapie Cognitive Basée sur la Pleine Conscience pour la Prévention de la Rechute Dépressive (MBCT) from the ASPCo – Association suisse de psychothérapie cognitive in June 2017, LJI (Leadership Judgement Indicator) from Hogrefe in April 2015, Counselor certifié Talentoday - Evaluation de la personnalité et des motivations en milieu professionnel from Talentoday in January 2015, and SOSIE - Evaluation de la personnalité et des motivations from ECPA Pearson France in October 2014.
