Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center
Spencer Pond is an experienced Broadcast Assistant at Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center since January 2023 and has been a Videographer at Portland Community College since June 2022, where responsibilities include capturing A-roll and B-roll footage for marketing and internal use, as well as utilizing Panasonic broadcast cameras for live event streaming. As a Production Coordinator for PICKATHON from June to August 2023, Spencer coordinated staff and volunteer roles within the film crew, including schedule management. Spencer holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Portland Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Portland State University.
Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center
Open Signal is a nonprofit media arts center dedicated to helping Portland-area people tell their stories. Open Signal recently launched their summer 2017 classes, which put the power of the media in the hands of Portlanders by certifying students ages sixteen and up to borrow equipment for free from Open Signal's media equipment library, which includes video production and animation equipment, cinema-quality cameras and more.
