Syed Ashal Ali

Syed Ashal Ali's work experience includes roles at various prestigious institutions. In 2023, they worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) and as a Research Assistant in the Heilshorn Biomaterials Group at Stanford University School of Engineering. Syed Ashal also participated in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program at Sarafan ChEM-H and the Healthcare Team at Stanford ASES. In addition, Syed held the position of Vice President at OPEN Silicon Valley, where they focused on Pakistani representation in entrepreneurship. Syed Ashal further worked as a Machine Learning Researcher in the Rivas Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to that, they were a Machine Learning Engineer at Aga Khan University and a Clinical Trial Assistant at CanSino Biologics Inc.

Syed Ashal Ali obtained a High School Diploma from Karachi Grammar School in 2022. During this time, they studied A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Global Perspectives and Research. Prior to that, they participated in the Pakistan Innovation Foundation: STEMx program in 2021, focusing on Biomedical Computation. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University, starting in 2022 and expected to complete in 2026. Additionally, they acquired certifications in Principles of Biochemistry from HarvardX and Essentials of Global Health from Yale University.
