Open Source Europe is a nonprofit organisation strengthening the open source ecosystem across Europe.

We support the sustainability of open source projects by providing the financial and legal infrastructure they need to operate, receive funding, and grow responsibly.

Our mission is simple:
to help open source communities thrive — independently, transparently, and sustainably.

We work with maintainers, contributors, funders, and public institutions to build stronger foundations for Europe’s digital commons.

Open source is not just software.
It is shared infrastructure for society.
And it needs long-term support.

Open Source Europe is here to help build that support.
