Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Open Supply Hub, Kate leads the technical team and strategy to develop an open map of global production sites. Previously, Kate held the role of Director of Engineering at Wikimedia Foundation, where responsibilities included overseeing the Architecture, Release Engineering, and Performance teams for one of the top internet properties. Additionally, Kate served as Principal at Cascadia Technical Mentorship and CTO at Cadasta Foundation, focusing on technology strategies for NGOs. As Executive Director of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, Kate managed operations and project communications, significantly contributing to disaster response initiatives. Kate's early career includes roles in engineering and quality assurance. Academically, Kate holds an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and degrees in Geography and Information Technology.
