Cathy Dickson

Cathy Dickson currently serves as a Teacher Leader in Residence for K-8 Math and for 6-8 Math at Open Up Resources since August 2020, after a tenure at Lake Zurich CUSD 95 from 2015 to June 2023 as a 6th Grade Math Teacher and Team Leader. Prior experience includes roles as a Guest Relations Coordinator at Larkridge Community Church, where leadership in developing ministry teams occurred while planting a new church, and as a First/Second Grade Teacher at Avondale School District, which involved running programs for at-risk students and contributing to innovative teaching models. Cathy began their career at Capac Community Schools as a Gifted/Talented Teacher for grades 3-7. Cathy holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching and a Master's degree in Teaching Reading and Language Arts, both from Oakland University.
