Nicole Doucet

CEO and Co-Founder at Open Water

Nicole Doucet has over 10 years of experience in the sustainability and financial services industries. In 2011, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Open Water (formerly Green Sheep Water), a bottled water company focused on fighting ocean plastic pollution. At Open Water, they pioneered the canned water category and was the first company to use 100% recyclable aluminum twist-top bottles and cans as a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bottles. Nicole also made Open Water the world’s first certified Climate Neutral bottled water. Prior to this, Nicole worked at Yehu Microfinance as a Risk Management Consultant from 2009-2011. During their time there, they assessed the company’s established risk management practices and developed its first Risk Management Policy, based on Grameen Bank’s standards. Nicole also assisted in the overhaul of the audit program, directed audits in all branches, and recommended solutions for the problems identified during them.

Nicole Doucet obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from University of Miami in 2010. Nicole then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they completed in 2016.
