Cody James has held various roles in the manufacturing and engineering industry since 2013. Cody began their career at C&D Zodiac Aerospace as a Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator and Robotics Operator. In 2014, they moved to Senior Operations Advanced Manufacturing Technology as a Level III Computer Numerical Control Machinist and Automation & Robotics Operator. In 2015, they worked as a Numerical Control Programmer, Production Engineer and Robotics Programmer at Boeing. In 2016, they held two positions, first as a Level IV NC Programmer and Advanced Robotics Programmer at Textron and then as a Contract Level V Sr. NC Programmer and SME Robotics Programmer at Avcorp Industries. In 2018, they joined Avcorp Industries again as a Senior Leadership in Automation & Technology Strategy. Most recently, in 2019, they founded Open X, where they serve as President & Founder.
Cody James has a diverse educational background. From 2009 to 2013, they attended the Arts and Technology school for Robotics and Engineering, where they studied Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, Manufacturing, and Computer Numerical Control. In 2014 and 2015, they obtained certifications from both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies and Mathematics and Computer Science, respectively. In 2015 and 2016, they obtained a certification from Harvard University in Computer Science.
