Kevin K.

Kevin K. currently serves as the AI Platform Technical Program Manager at OpenAI, starting in April 2025, where responsibilities include leading cross-functional programs to enhance AI infrastructure and improve platform reliability and resource planning. Prior to this role, Kevin worked at Datadog from January 2018 to November 2024 as the Head of Distributed Systems, successfully redesigning the core event ingestion service to significantly increase capacity and reduce data lag. Kevin also held the position of Engineering Manager for the Telemetry Platform at New Relic from July 2010 to December 2017, where a transition to Go microservices and implementation of sharded Cassandra clusters were executed to handle over 15 billion daily metrics. Kevin's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
