Rebecca Distler

Rebecca Distler serves as the Strategic Health Partnerships Lead for Global Affairs at OpenAI since May 2024 and is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations. Previously, Rebecca was the Strategist for AI, Data, and Digital Health at The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, where leadership was provided in directing over $20 million in grants to enhance digital health in low-resource settings across Africa and Asia. Experience also includes roles as Global Health Programs Lead at ID2020, focusing on COVID-19 digital credentials, and as Director of Global Health Initiatives at Element, Inc., managing a significant global health portfolio. Rebecca's earlier career includes positions at Global Health Strategies and the Clinton Global Initiative, emphasizing partnership strategies and health initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yale University.
