Thomas Shadwell is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in developing and implementing security systems across various organizations. Currently a Member of Technical Staff in Security at OpenAI, Shadwell is responsible for building the first Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and designing the security frameworks for ChatGPT Canvas. Previously, at Google, Shadwell worked as a Senior Security Engineer, focusing on security hardening through compile-time mitigations. At the National Cyber Security Centre, Shadwell contributed as a Senior Information Security Engineer, providing consultations on security analysis and responsible disclosure after receiving an award for identifying critical vulnerabilities in the UK tax system. As a Senior Application Security Engineer at Twitch, Shadwell established the Security team and developed essential security processes that significantly influenced Twitch's architecture and Amazon Web Services products. Earlier roles include consulting as a Full Stack Web Engineer.
