Trevor Cai

Trevor Cai is a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since March 2022, focusing on silicon and infrastructure efforts and previously leading GPT-4 training throughput and execution for GPT-4 Vision. Prior to OpenAI, Trevor was a Staff Software Engineer at DeepMind from August 2017 to February 2022, where responsibilities included serving as Tech Lead for the LLM effort and building infrastructure for training models like Chinchilla and Gopher. Trevor holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, both from the University of Southern California, completed between 2013 and 2017.
