Wendy Wu

Wendy Wu is a seasoned recruiting professional with a strong focus on sourcing talent within the AI and machine learning sectors. Currently serving as a member of the recruiting staff at OpenAI since October 2025, Wendy's expertise was honed at The Voleon Group as a research sourcer, where the role involved sourcing for AI researchers. Prior to that, Wendy worked at GetCruise from October 2019 to December 2023, specializing as a senior technical sourcer for machine learning and computer vision teams, covering various technical roles such as applied research scientists and ML engineers. Wendy's foundational experience includes a research apprenticeship at the University of California, Berkeley. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy and Society & Environment from the University of California, Berkeley, along with study abroad experience at Lund University.
