Alex van Den Berg

Alex van den Berg has extensive experience in education and publishing, currently serving as a Didactor 'actief leren' at Openbaar Onderwijs Groningen since January 2021, focused on applying knowledge of active learning in teaching practices. Concurrently, Alex holds positions as a Vakdidacticus Scheikunde at the University of Groningen and a Docent Scheikunde at Praedinius Gymnasium, both since 2018. Previous roles include Publisher for Higher Education and Secondary Education at Noordhoff Publishers, where responsibilities involved research and publishing in science-related fields. Alex's teaching career began as a Chemistry Teacher at multiple institutions, including Maartens College and CSG Liudger, while also managing educational projects linking secondary schools and universities during an earlier tenure at the University of Groningen. Academically, Alex earned a Master of Science in Teacher Education and a drs in chemistry from the University of Groningen.
