Haije Wind

Haije Wind serves as the CIO and Manager ICT at Openbaar Onderwijs Groningen since August 2020, focusing on the needs of 17,000 students and 2,000 employees across 37 schools. In addition, Haije is the Programmamanager Lean, leading initiatives to improve educational services, and has held the role of Duo interim manager for the Education & Quality department. Involved with Samenwerking Noord as a member of the Ledenraad and duo chair of the Education & Research sector, Haije has also contributed to the PvdA Groningen from 2012 to 2023, serving as chair and member of the board. Previous roles include leadership positions at the University of Groningen, where Haije worked for nearly three decades, including as Innovatiemanager and CTO of the Center for Information Technology. Additional experience includes advisory roles with IT Academy Noord-Nederland and Community Network Groningen, as well as serving on the Municipal Council of Gemeente Winsum. Haije holds a Master of Science in Computing Science from the University of Groningen and has completed several management programs at AOG School of Management and Nyenrode Business University.
