Macarena González Fernández has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Macarena started their career as an Urban Governance Junior Consultant at ENGIE, where they conducted a study on urban governance and the role of private stakeholders in public services provision. Macarena then worked as an Associate Researcher on Urban Transportation at Urbanistes du Monde and as a Public Policy Junior Consultant on Sustainable Cities at Centro Mario Molina. In 2019, they became a Partner's Angel for Spain at Free2Move, where they dealt with partnerships. Macarena later joined ECLAC as a Consultant for the Sustainable Development and Human Settlements Division. Currently, they work as a Customer Success Manager at Opendatasoft.
Macarena González Fernández completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile between 2013 and 2017. Macarena then pursued a Master's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Sciences Po from 2016 to 2019.
