Jeff Handel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jeff currently works as the Head of Video & YouTube at OpenDor Media, where they oversee three YouTube channels with a significant subscriber base and monthly views. Jeff manages a team of 10+ content creators in roles such as writers, producers, directors, and editors.
Prior to their current position, Jeff co-founded Cinemad Productions in 2018 and served as a Film Producer and Executive Producer. Jeff was involved in the production of independent feature films, including "The Novice," which won Best Picture at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2021 and received nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards. Jeff played a key role in distribution and securing partnerships with IFC and Vertigo.
Before that, Jeff was a co-founder of Tribe Creative Agency, where they acted as the Head of Video Production. Jeff led a team in producing commercials, product videos, and social media marketing content for clients such as Wix and Lumus Augmented Reality.
Additionally, Jeff co-founded One Wish Project in 2013, where they held the position of Director of Video Content. Jeff took charge of video production, specializing in impactful documentary films focused on topics such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Anti-Semitism, Iran, and homelessness. Jeff also spearheaded fundraising efforts and managed creative aspects and logistics.
In their early career, Jeff gained sales experience as a Sales Consultant at Grand Circle Corporation and worked in real estate sales at Boardwalk Properties.
Jeff Handel received their Bachelor of Science degree in Film and History from Boston University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007.
