Jake Daugherty

Jake Daugherty has a diverse work experience, spanning different industries and roles. In 2013, they began their career as a Student Athlete at Ferris State University and later served as an Intern in Marketing and Sales. In 2018, they worked as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach at Briar Cliff University and also gained experience as a Communications and Special Olympics Intern at the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Jake then joined Big Rapids High School as a Principal and Athletic Director Intern in 2021. In 2019, they took on the role of Bulldog Athletic Association Coordinator and later became the Coordinator of Athletic Corporate Sales and Advancement at Ferris State University. Jake also worked as the Director of Development - Athletics at Oakland University and as the Director of External Engagement at Jenison Public Schools. Currently, they are an Account Executive at Opendorse.

Jake Daugherty earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Educational Leadership from Ferris State University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sports Communication from the same university between 2013 and 2017. In addition to their degrees, Jake has also obtained certifications in Athlete Marketing Essentials: NIL Certification from Front Office Sports in September 2021 and Educator - Type 8 (Leadership/Admin.) from the Michigan Department of Education in June 2021.
