Jake Sink has over 20 years of work experience in software development and technology consulting. Jake started their career in 1999 as a Senior Tech Support Operator at Law Enforcement Online. Jake then worked as a Cooperative Education - Application Development at Williams Olefins from 2001 to 2002. From 2003 to 2004, Jake worked as a Technology Consultant at Data Systems & Solutions, LLC, where they developed ASP.NET web applications for the Process Industries division. Jake then joined Software Architects as a Senior Consultant, providing application support for 7-Eleven, Inc. from 2004 to 2006.

In 2006, Jake joined Volt as a Software Design Engineer 2, working on the FlexGo v1.0 project for Microsoft. Jake also designed and implemented a command line SQL Server 2005 based database migration and maintenance utility. Jake also worked at Microsoft from 2006 to 2012, holding various roles such as Software Design Engineer 2, where they developed the UI client for Microsoft FlexGo 2.0. Jake also worked as a Software Design Engineer 2 in the Specialized Devices & Applications Web Services Group, where they developed the Windows Live Video Messages Beta web portal. Jake's role at Microsoft also included working in the Windows Embedded, Automotive Business Unit, where they developed automotive UI prototypes using Silverlight for Windows Embedded.

Since 2012, Jake has been working at OpenEye, where they started as a Senior Developer before being promoted to Principal Software Developer in 2014.

Jake Sink obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level from Amazon Web Services in January 2014.
