Jon Jones

Jon Jones has an extensive work experience spanning over several years.

Jon started their career at WFXB Fox TV in 2001, where they worked their way up from an Account Executive to the Grand Strand Local Sales Manager. During their time there, they expanded the Myrtle Beach sales team, performed GSM responsibilities, and supervised a system transition.

In 2008, Jon joined WCBD News 2 as a Local Sales Manager. Jon'sresponsibilities included going on sales appointments, working with station executives, and setting rates based on inventory and sellout levels.

Jon then moved on to WMBF in 2009, where they served as an Account Executive. Jon achieved various sales targets, including securing the Pet of the Week Project and meeting quarterly budgets.

Starting in 2011, Jon joined Myrtle Beach Communications as a Sales Manager. Jon played a key role in expanding the sales team, selling digital radio system upgrades, and developing a mobile app for clients and employees.

In 2017, Jon joined Mobile Communications America as a Sales Manager and later became the General Manager. Jon managed sales teams, coordinated with partner CAMs and RSMs, trained teams on new products, and guided the branch through recovery efforts after Hurricane Michael.

In 2020, Jon worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Hikvision USA, where they achieved significant growth by supporting the dealer and distribution networks. Jon had responsibilities such as dealer education, project design, and coordinating with internal teams and distribution.

Currently, Jon is employed at OpenEye as the Sales Director - US East, a position they assumed in 2023.

Jon Jones attended Western Carolina University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Radio and Television.
