Ej Marin

EJ Marin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Starting in 2018, EJ worked as a Data Analyst SPEA Fellow at The Indianapolis Mayor's Office. During this time, they were responsible for executing data-driven projects and constructing various MySQL relational databases. They also conducted a randomized controlled experiment to test the effectiveness of performance-based rewards for public administrators.

In 2019, EJ joined CentralSquare Technologies, where they first worked as a Data Conversion Analyst I. In this role, they planned and executed data extraction from legacy systems and converted it into the company's software. They also developed and maintained SQL queries, ETL processes, and Python scripts for data mapping and review. Later, they became a Cognos Analytics Report Developer, creating business reports and data dashboards using IBM's Cognos Analytics Software. They also led client trainings and provided effective presentations and documentation.

EJ's next position was with Bayview Asset Management, LLC as a Data Engineer. They designed, developed, deployed, and maintained SQL Server objects and file processing applications for data conversion and loading tasks using C#. They utilized dynamic SQL techniques for agile development and addressing evolving business requirements.

Currently, EJ is working at OpenGov Inc. as an Integration Developer. Their responsibilities include integrating systems and developing solutions for business units.

EJ Marin pursued their education at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. From 2014 to 2018, they obtained a degree in Law & Public Policy, focusing on the same field of study. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, specializing in Management Information Systems and Services. EJ also acquired a certification in "Learning Amazon Web Services Lambda" from LinkedIn in October 2022.
