Mike Dempewolf has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mike is currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at OpenGov Inc. starting from January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Cartegraph from June 2021 and continues in the role. Mike also held the position of a Software Engineer III at A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. from January 2020 to June 2021. Mike has also taught as a Professor of Computer Science at Clarke University from July 2015 to January 2020. In addition to their software engineering and teaching roles, Mike has also served in various leadership positions in the Army National Guard, including Company Commander, Plans Officer, Detachment Commander, S3 Air, Executive Officer, Platoon Leader, and Assistant S1. Mike'sextensive experience in both software engineering and military leadership showcases their diverse skill set and adaptability.

Mike Dempewolf has a strong educational background in the field of technology. Mike began their education journey at the University of Iowa from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Following this, from 1999 to 2002, they attended Clarke University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science.

Keen to advance their knowledge and expertise, Mike pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from 2009 to 2013 at Capella University. This provided him with a solid foundation in the field.

Continuing their education, Mike enrolled at Capella University again from 2015 to 2020. Here, they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Technology, specializing in their chosen field. As a testament to their dedication and progress, Mike achieved the title of Doctoral Candidate in March 2018.
