Aaron Parecki

Aaron Parecki is an accomplished professional in the field of identity standards and security architecture, currently serving as the Director of Identity Standards and Senior Security Architect at Okta since March 2018. Parecki is also a Board Member at the OpenID Foundation and has held various influential positions within the IETF, including Co-chair of the SCIM Working Group and editor of OAuth specifications. With a strong entrepreneurial background, Parecki co-founded Geoloqi, Inc. and PK1 Designs, and served as CTO at Esri's R&D Center, leading significant projects in API development and team management. Education includes a BS & BA in Computer and Information Science and Digital Arts from the University of Oregon, and a Part 107 Remote Pilot certification from Pilot Institute.

The OpenID Foundation is a non-profit international standardization organization of individuals and companies committed to enabling, promoting and protecting OpenID technologies that provide the internet identity layer and API Protection. Formed in June 2007, the Foundation serves as a public trust organization representing the open community of developers, vendors, and users. OIDF assists the community by providing needed infrastructure and help in promoting and supporting expanded adoption of OpenID. This entails managing intellectual property and brand marks as well as fostering viral growth and global participation in the proliferation of OpenID.
