Wook Rhyu

Wook Rhyu has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. In 2015, they began working at Calvary United Methodist Church as a Church Finance Associate, where they helped design and implement a donation tracking and reporting application using VBA/EXCEL macros. Wook was also actively involved in maintaining this application and doing weekly data entry, on-demand data trend analysis and reports. In the same year, they also began working at Calvary Summer School as a Director/Teacher, where they oversaw all day to day camp activities and was responsible for handling unforeseen events. Wook also managed and found creative ways to best allocate limited funds and resources to various camp programs, and planned and coordinated a daily camp schedule that most effectively utilized times for study classes and extracurricular activities. In 2021, they began working at Hike Intel as an iOS Engineer. In 2020, they began working at Bloomberg LP as a Mortgage Analyst, where they analyzed documents sent from different banks and fed information into the Bloomberg database for clients consumption. Wook also utilized a machine learning tool/script to expedite the data acquisition process and designed and proposed ideas to improve data workflow. Currently, they are working at OpenPath Products as a Software Developer.

Wook Rhyu attended Rutgers University-New Brunswick from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in both Mathematics and Economics. Additionally, they obtained the Exam FM/2 certification from the Society of Actuaries in February 2019 and the Exam P/1 certification from the Society of Actuaries in September 2017.
