Carl Mahaney

Carl Mahaney is the Director of StreetopiaUWS Carl leads and manages multiple grassroots campaigns focused on reclaiming public space for the public good on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Drawing on more than two decades as a practicing architect, Carl uses community engagement and human-centered research to connect with a diverse range of local stakeholders and empower them with the tools to make equitable, accessible, and sustainable change to the streetscape and public space in their UWS neighborhood
