Joel Robinson is the Founder and CTO of Openr, where innovative product development leads the charge since January 2022. Prior experience includes significant roles at Sainsbury's from September 2016 to July 2019, notably as Head of Strategy, Planning & Ways of Working within the Sainsbury's Tech Team, where transformation efforts established a product-led technology organization. Joel also held various positions such as Senior Product Owner for the technology roadmap of 1,200 stores, Lead Product Owner for over 1,500 stores, and Store Manager during an 18-month Future Leaders' Development Programme. Prior to Sainsbury's, Joel contributed to the Azzurri Group as Digital & Technology Director from August 2019 to November 2024. Joel Robinson holds a BA (Hons) degree in Social & Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
