Joni Factor

Joni Factor has a diverse background in the field of human resources and talent acquisition. Currently, they hold the position of Director, People at Opensignal since May 2023. Prior to this role, Joni served as the Senior Talent Acquisition Leader, Global People Operations at HubSpot from February 2021 to February 2023.

From June 2015 to January 2021, Joni worked as the Managing Director, Human Capital and Talent at Phoenix Charter Academy Network, where they successfully implemented initiatives to increase staff diversity, satisfaction, and retention. They also provided coaching and support to senior leadership in performance management and retention.

Before joining Phoenix Charter Academy Network, Joni held various roles at Teach For America, including Director of Recruitment from April 2013 to May 2015 and Recruitment Manager from June 2011 to March 2013. In these positions, they managed teams, developed recruitment strategies, and provided professional development coaching.

Joni's earlier work experience includes roles at Summer Search, where they served as a Senior Program Associate from June 2010 to May 2012, an Outreach Coordinator from September 2008 to June 2010, and a Program Associate from January 2007 to January 2008.

They began their career as a Cooperating Teacher and Applicant Selector at Philadelphia Teaching Fellows from October 2006 to October 2007.

Joni Factor holds a Master of Science degree in Urban Education, which was obtained from the University of Pennsylvania between 2005 and 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Government and Pre-Law from Ohio Wesleyan University, attending from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Joni obtained a certification in SHRM-CP from SHRM in January 2021.
