Daniel Lopez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

Daniel started their career in 2007 as a Project Coordinator at TRAGSA, where they were responsible for recruiting and training new staff, supervising the team, and ensuring data quality standards were met.

In 2008, Daniel joined Stereocarto as a Project Coordinator and later became an R&D Analyst/Project Coordinator. Their responsibilities included data capture planning, LiDAR and Aerial Imagery data management, cost estimation, scheduling, and problem resolution.

In 2012, they joined Saudi Electricity Company as a Project Manager, leading the implementation of a nationwide centralized Geographic Information System. Daniel was in charge of program development, project design and implementation, financial management, and organizational change management.

In 2014, Daniel worked as a Project Manager at Tecnocom, where they managed various projects.

From 2015 to 2020, they worked at Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' - Qatar. Initially, they served as a Data Management Specialist and later as a member of the Framework Management Team. The team's responsibilities included program management, project development, procedure implementation, financial management, and governance of cultural and organizational changes.

Since 2020, Daniel has been working at DOTGIS as a PMO Lead, overseeing project management office activities.

Currently, they are a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Shared Data Hub & Project Exec at Open Sistemas, working with Banco Santander.

Daniel Lopez holds a Master's degree in International Business Management from UPF Barcelona School of Management, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's degree in Data Management and Technological Innovation from Universitat de Barcelona, which they completed from 2016 to 2017. Daniel also holds a Master's degree in GIS and Remote Sensing from Universidad de Alcalá, which they achieved in the year 2007. Their earliest educational qualification is a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Forestry, which they obtained from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in the period from 2000 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel has acquired several certifications. Daniel obtained the Asset Management Specialist certification from The Institute of Asset Management in January 2020. In December 2019, they completed the Data Science and Visualization for Business certification program from IE Business School. Daniel also holds a PdP Big Data for Business certification from UNIR - La Universidad en Internet, which they received in June 2018. Furthermore, they have certifications in The Complete Agile Project Manager (June 2018), Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals (March 2018), and From Data to Insights with Google Cloud Platform Specialization (February 2018), all from various institutions and platforms. Lastly, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2015.
