Matthias is a software developer who has been implementing search projects for more than 10 years. He is experienced in solving information retrieval problems in a variety of domains, from web search to content management and e-commmerce. He’s been tasked with building scalable and highly-available solutions using technologies such as Solr, Elasticsearch, Scala, Kotlin and Java. Matthias believes that understanding user behaviour is key to optimize search engines and enjoys distilling knowledge from analytics data.
Matthias holds a degree from TU Ilmenau and is a committer of the Querqy open-source project, his non-search interests span modern art and history.
