Sean M.

Sean M. is a Principal Software Engineer at Splunk since August 2024 and has been actively involved with OpenTelemetry since October 2020 as both a Collector Contrib Maintainer and Contributor, focusing on advancing Observability initiatives for Atlassian. Previously, Sean served as a Senior Software Engineer at Atlassian from February 2019 to August 2024, heavily contributing to Observability solutions and OpenTelemetry projects, including acting as the first APAC maintainer for OpenTelemetry Contrib. Sean's earlier experience includes roles as a Mid Level DevOps Engineer at Beamery, where responsibilities included managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud projects, and as a Junior DevOps Engineer at the University of Adelaide. Sean holds a degree from the University of Adelaide, completed in 2018.
