Severin Neumann

Severin Neumann currently serves as a Member of the Governance Committee at OpenTelemetry since October 2023 and as an Open Source Program Manager at Cisco since May 2023. Previously, Severin held various roles at AppDynamics from February 2016 to May 2023, including Senior Product Manager, Presales Domain Architect for Dynamic Languages, Sales Engineer EMEA, and Inside Sales Engineer. Earlier experience includes serving as Lead Software Engineer at eLearning AG from January 2012 to November 2015, where Severin was responsible for software project execution and infrastructure planning for an eLearning platform. Severin also worked as a Research Assistant at Universität Passau, focusing on teaching and research in cryptography, linear algebra, logic, and programming. Additional positions include Software Engineer at Bernd Wiest Consulting GmbH, Student Assistant at Universität Passau, and internships at Shell Exploration & Production and Deutsche Telekom Laboratories. Severin holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Universität Passau.
