Frans van Buul

Frans van Buul is a seasoned application security specialist with extensive experience across various roles. They served as an Information Architect at Inter Access from 2009 to 2013 and worked as an Auditor/Consultant in IT Security at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1999 to 2007. As a Freelance Auditor/Consultant from 2007 to 2011, they provided valuable insights into security practices. Frans was also a Commercial Director and Evangelist at AxonIQ between 2017 and 2019. Currently, they are the Senior Product Manager for Fortify SAST at OpenText, focusing on next-generation SAST architectures and integrating AI technology into the application security portfolio. They hold an MSc in Physics from Radboud University and a postgraduate degree in IT Audit from Tilburg University.
