Javier Augusto

Javier Augusto, CISM, currently serves as a Principal Product Cybersecurity Engineer at OpenText, focusing on Core Threat Detection and Response since January 2024. Prior to this role, Javier held various positions at Micro Focus, including Technical Success Manager for Customer Solutions Engineering UEBA and Global Principal Consultant for Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting, where expertise in managing global deployments and building Security Operations Centers was demonstrated. Javier's extensive experience in cybersecurity includes significant roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and IBM Security Services, where leadership in SOC optimization, security architecture, and managed security services was provided. Javier holds a BS in Systems Information from the University of Blumenau and has furthered education in predictive analytics and information security management through QUT and SANS Institute.
