Nicolas Vibert has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Nicolas began their career at Telindus Belgacom ICT as a Network Support Engineer, providing 3rd line support to major businesses. Nicolas then worked at PacketExchange as an IP Support Engineer before joining Telefonica O2 as an IP Design Engineer. Nicolas then joined nscglobal, where they served as a Technical Consultant and later as a Senior Technical Consultant, providing consulting services to market-leading customers.

In 2011, Nicolas joined Cisco Systems as a Network Consulting Engineer, working in the Cisco Advanced Services practice for top global enterprise customers. After four years at Cisco, they moved to Dimension Data as a Senior Technical Architect Consultant.

Nicolas then transitioned to VMware, where they held various roles including Senior NSX Systems Engineer, Lead NSX Systems Engineer, and Principal Cloud Solution Architect. Nicolas also presented on networking, automation, and AWS technologies at various events.

Following their tenure at VMware, Nicolas joined HashiCorp as a Staff Solutions Engineer, and subsequently took on a role at OpenUK as a Chief DEI Officer and Ambassador. Currently, they are working at Isovalent as a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer.

Nicolas Vibert obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from IMT Atlantique, specifically Télecom Bretagne, from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Nicolas has also pursued several certifications. These include being a HashiCorp Terraform Associate, obtaining this certification from HashiCorp in January 2022. Nicolas is also an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, certified by Amazon Web Services in October 2017. Furthermore, Nicolas has obtained certifications such as VCIX-NV (VMware Certified Implementation Expert - Network Virtualization) from VMware in May 2016, and VMware Certified Associate 6 – Network Virtualization (VCA6-NV) [NSX] from VMware in October 2015.

Nicolas has also been certified in TOGAF 9 (The Open Group Architecture Framework) by The Open Group in January 2015. Additionally, Nicolas holds the certification of CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) from CWNP, obtained in December 2013. Nicolas is also a CMNA (Certified Meraki Networking Associate) certified by Cisco Cloud Networking Group in November 2013.

Furthermore, Nicolas has obtained numerous Cisco certifications over the years. These include Cisco DCADS (Data Centre Application Services Design Specialist) in February 2011, Cisco DCSNS (Data Centre Storage Networking Design Specialist) in January 2010, Cisco DCNI (Data Centre Networking Infrastructure Design Specialist) in July 2009, CCIE Routing & Switching # 22990 (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) in December 2008, BCNE/FCNE (Brocade/Foundry Certified Network Engineer) in February 2008, CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) in November 2007, CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) in September 2007, CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) in February 2006, and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) in July 2005.
