Becky Smith, SFHEA, has extensive experience in academic partnerships, international marketing, and higher education consultancy. Currently serving as a Regional Assessor for the Chevening Awards and Head of Academic Partnerships at Opera North, Becky focuses on building collaborations between the arts and higher education. As a Key Global Associate and Assistant Director at Advance HE, responsibilities include supporting international clients in enhancing educational outcomes. Previous roles include managerial positions at the University of Toronto and York University, where Becky implemented recruitment strategies for international students. Educated at respected institutions, Becky holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management, an MA in Language Teaching, and CELTA certification.

Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations.
