Romilly Blackburn is an experienced professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. Romilly began their career in 1996 as an Architect with Nigel Cook Architects. In 1997, they moved to Woods Bagot as a Design Architect and then to Bates Smart as a Design Architect in 1999. In 1999, Blackburn co-founded Airport, a mobile technology consultancy and software development company, where they served as Partner. In 2001, they co-founded Whispir, a communications SaaS company, and served as Co-founder and COO. In 2016, they founded Founderfounder, a company that grows bold new software companies, and served as Founder. Romilly also served as Advisor for Milanote, a tool for planning creative projects, and Plattar, an AR platform for product experiences, in the same year. In 2017, they took on the role of Advisor for Plattar and in 2018, they became Co-founder & CEO of Operata, the only performance monitoring and assurance platform built for cloud contact centers.
Romilly Blackburn attended The University of Auckland from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a BArch (Hons) in Architecture and a BAS in Architecture. In 1998, they obtained a Registered Architect certification from the Architects Registration Board of Victoria. In 2010, they obtained a MAICD certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
