Kevin Joo

Kevin Joo has worked in various roles in the technology and research fields since 2011. Kevin began as a Researcher at Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering in 2011, and then worked as a Researcher at Johns Hopkins Medicine from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they began working as a Biostatistics Researcher at the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, where they created pipelines for processing raw RNA data and developed downstream analytics pipelines and diagnosis scripts. In 2015, they worked as an Ion Torrent R&D Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they developed new methods of sequencing and qPCR using current Ion Torrent systems. In 2017, they began working as a Data Science Lead at WellDoc, Inc, where they created an internal analytics platform and improved processing infrastructure. In 2018, they became Co-Founder & CTO at Atana, and they currently hold this role at Operator.

Kevin Joo attended Centennial High School from 2009 to 2013. Kevin then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to 2018. Kevin also completed a W20 program from Y Combinator.
