Sirpa Holmström

Sirpa Holmström has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Most recently, they have been serving as the Head of Unit for Internationalisation services for general and adult education at the Finnish National Agency for Education since 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, including Head of International Relations and Acting Head of Research and Development Services. Sirpa has also worked as the Head of International Relations at Haaga University of Applied Sciences and as an International Relations Coordinator at Haaga Institute Polytechnic and Malmi Business College. Additionally, Sirpa has experience as a European Union translator at Language Services Company Noodi OY.

Sirpa Holmström completed a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tampere, specializing in German language, Management, Administrative Science, Educational Science, and English language. Sirpa also spent a year studying International Politics, German, and English at Universität Heidelberg in Germany. In addition, they were a visiting student at the University of Klagenfurt in Austria, where they studied Germanic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. Later, they obtained a Pedagogical Qualification for Vocational Teaching from Häme University of Applied Sciences. More recently, they pursued studies in Higher Education Management at the University of Tampere from 2015 to 2017.
