Carolina Mateo

Carolina Mateo has an extensive and diverse work experience. Carolina is currently the Director of Operations for the Madrid office at Opinno, a global innovation consultancy firm. Carolina has been with Opinno since 2017 and has also served as the Innovation Business Development Director and Senior Consultant. At Opinno, Carolina is responsible for producing impactful service proposals and creating personalized programs for clients.

Prior to their role at Opinno, Carolina co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of Spectacular!, an immersive cinema initiative in Spain. Carolina was involved in recreating the atmosphere of well-known movies and creating memorable personal experiences for the audience.

Carolina also has experience as a Managing Partner at ProDigna, where they provided premier training programs and coaching to small businesses and entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Carolina specialized in sales negotiations, PR events, interviews, and presentations to key figures.

Carolina also held positions at Peninsula Press and WORLD INVESTMENT NEWS as a Regional Director for Strategy Series and General Manager, respectively. Additionally, they worked as the General Manager for Peninsula Press and as the Sales Director for Impact Media International. Carolina'searlier experiences include roles at Vegamedia, AFA Press, and McCann Erickson.

Carolina Mateo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 1995 to 1999. In 2015 to 2016, they received a Certificate in Professional Coaching from Crearte Coaching. Recently, from 2021 to 2022, they pursued a Módulo in Storytelling con datos at the University of Chicago.
