Dan Li is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as Director / Senior Manager of Data Science at Oportun since August 2019, Dan has previously held managerial and senior data scientist positions at Capital One from January 2016 to August 2019. Early career experiences include internships and research positions, such as an Operations Research Analyst Intern at American Airlines and a Planning, Research and Statistics Intern at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, where Dan developed decision support tools and analytical models. Dan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Tsinghua University in Enterprise Information Systems and Engineering and Control Science and Engineering, respectively.
