Katherine B. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of architecture, design, and project management. Katherine founded Bedwell Studio in 1996, which is a multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in architecture, interiors, and design. Katherine has worked on high-end residential, hotel, restaurant, retail, office, and furniture design projects.

In 2019, Katherine became the Director of Interior Design at Oppenheim Architecture, an award-winning firm specializing in luxury residences and hospitality. Katherine has worked on notable projects such as the Banyan Tree Luxury Residences and Resort in the Bahamas and the Desert Rock Hyper Luxury Hotel and Resort in KSA.

From 2014 to 2017, Katherine served as the Head of International Projects at Tarruella Trenchs Studio, where they contributed to the creative direction and design supervision of various restaurant and hotel projects. One of the notable projects they worked on was the high-end restaurant, La Luz, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dubai.

In addition, Katherine has worked as a senior architect at ADD Inc, now with Stantec, on projects such as waterfront luxury residences for Ritz Carlton and the Berkeley Shore Boutique Hotel in Miami Beach. Katherine was also an associate architect at QUIM LARREA & ASSOCIATES, where they worked on residential, retail, workplace, ephemeral architecture, furniture, and product design projects.

Furthermore, Katherine has experience in project management and property management as the Director of Property Management at JLL. Katherine has worked on corporate interiors and workplace projects.

Earlier in their career, Katherine worked as an architect, senior designer, and project coordinator at CAPELLA GARCIA ARQUITECTURA AND DESIGN, where they were involved in hospitality, residential, and commercial projects. Katherine also gained experience as a designer at Wolfberg Alvarez & Partners and as a designer/intern at Peter W.P. Graulich Architecture + Planning.

Katherine B. has a diverse education history in the field of architecture and design. Katherine attended Pratt Institute and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a focus on Architecture and Design. Katherine then pursued their education further at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they completed a Master of Architecture degree with a specialization in Metropolis - Architecture, Public Spaces, and Urban Culture. Additionally, Katherine attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design to study The Architectural Imagination, focusing on the theory, history, and technology of architecture.

To further enhance their skills, Katherine completed a postgraduate program in Project and Construction Management at CAATEEB - Barcelona, with a focus on Project Control, Coordination, and Management. Katherine also received a Licensed Architect degree from La Salle BCN, specializing in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Urban Design.

Prior to their formal education, Katherine began their academic journey at Miami Dade College, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Architecture.

In terms of certifications, Katherine obtained the AIA Associate certification from The American Institute of Architects in January 2019. Katherine also holds the designation of Licensed Architect from the Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya, which was obtained in October 2010.

Lastly, Katherine briefly attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to pursue a Grado en Arquitectura Técnica degree with a focus on Arquitectura from 2004 to 2005.
