Rebecca Carpenter

Rebecca Carpenter has over fifteen years of professional experience in the fields of business development, project management, and corporate program compliance. Rebecca began their career in 2004 as an Executive Assistant for The American Institute of Architects (AIA). Rebecca then moved on to Gensler in 2006 as a Studio Coordinator. In 2008, they joined the University of Alabama as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant. From 2010 to 2014, they worked at Wiser Company as a VP of Corporate Program Compliance and Proposal Manager. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Business Development - Opportunity Manager and Proposal Manager at Geographic Information Services, Inc. Rebecca is currently the Chief Development Officer at Opportunity Alabama, a position they have held since 2016.

Rebecca Carpenter earned their Master of Science in Urban, Regional & Environmental Planning from The University of Alabama in 2009. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Michigan in 2004.
