Adrienne Smith

Adrienne Smith has extensive work experience in research and policy analysis. Adrienne is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Research at Opportunity Finance Network since February 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple positions at Abt Associates. From June 2019 to April 2021, they worked as a Senior Associate in the Social & Economic Policy Division, and from August 2015 to June 2019, they served as an Associate/Scientist in the same division. Before joining Abt Associates, Adrienne was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Tennessee from August 2012 to July 2015. Adrienne began their career at Emory University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant from August 2005 to May 2012. Adrienne also gained experience as a Research Assistant and Associate Analyst in the Social & Economic Policy Division at Abt Associates from July 2003 to June 2005.

Adrienne Smith has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, where they studied Government and Politics along with Art History. Adrienne later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Emory University. Additionally, Adrienne obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Political Science, also from Emory University.
