Ekow Haizel

Ekow Haizel is an experienced agriculture specialist with a diverse background in agribusiness and rural development. Currently employed at Opportunity International since August 2013, Ekow has previously served as Agribusiness Enterprise Coordinator for the Millennium Villages Project from November 2009 to July 2013 and worked as a Consultant Land Access Verification Coordinator for Newmont Ghana Gold Limited from June 2008 to November 2009, where responsibilities included verifying crops and structures on mining-impacted land for compensation purposes. Earlier in the career, Ekow was the Head of the Business Advisory Center for the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) from October 1999 to September 2008, focusing on enhancing business development services for micro and small enterprises in rural areas. Ekow Haizel holds an M.A. in Human Resource Development from the University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from the same institution.
