Caroline Barelle is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the life sciences and biotherapeutics sectors. Currently serving as a member of the CPI Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre Advisory Board since September 2023, Caroline is also the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Elasmogen Ltd since May 2015. Caroline has held various board positions, including Board Member at Opportunity North East Limited and a member of The Royal Society Science, Industry and Translation Committee. Notably, contributions as a Vanguard volunteer for the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce aim to enhance community initiatives in the region. Previous roles include Entrepreneur in Residence at Queen's University Belfast, Strategic Board member for the Scottish Government, and research leadership at the University of Aberdeen and Pfizer. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Robert Gordon University and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen.
