Imke Mulder

Imke Mulder is currently serving as the Business Growth Manager at Opportunity North East Limited since May 2023. Prior to this role, Imke held the position of Executive Vice President of Research at 4D pharma plc from August 2021 to May 2023 and served as Research Director at 4D Pharma Research Ltd from 2014 to August 2021. Imke's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Aberdeen, complemented by a Master’s Degree in Animal Biology from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Wageningen University & Research. Imke's research expertise encompasses gut microbiota interactions and immune system development, having contributed significantly to the Gut Immunology Group at the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health during various postdoctoral research fellowships from 2006 to 2014.
