Terry Cummiskey

Terry Cummiskey has over 25 years of experience in the technical and operations fields. In 1993, they began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Pulsecom, where they were responsible for developing a real-time, embedded systems proprietary protocol and coordinating a team of 3 other developers. In 1994, they moved to Racal Guardata as a Senior Software Engineer and was the technical lead for a $5 million encryption product line. In 1995, they joined American Mobile Satellite Corporation as a Senior Engineer, where they were the development lead for satellite modems, network bridge/routers, and test systems. In 1998, they became Manager of Technical Support at Motient and developed and deployed a Y2K satellite offering that created over $750K in additional revenues. In 2001, they were chosen to transition 6 departments to Mobile Satellite Ventures as Manager of System Eng and Tech Assistance. In 2008, they became Manager US Operations at Skyterra, where they managed the design and deployment of creating a 24X7 NOC in Reston. In 2010, they were Manager of Network Operations at LightSquared, where they established objectives, monitored performance, counseled, promoted, and provided career guidance to 16 Direct Reports. In 2013, they joined Quality Step Consulting as a Business Analyst/Engineer/Operations Consultant. In 2015, they moved to OpsVision Solutions, LLC as a Business Analyst/Project Manager/Operations Consultant. In 2018, they became Senior Technical Project Manager at SMS Data Products Group, Inc.

Terry Cummiskey holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, which they obtained in 2003. Terry also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, which they obtained in 1987. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a ScienceLogic Certified Professional from ScienceLogic in 2016, a Certified Scrum Developer from the Scrum Alliance in 2014, a Certified SAFe Agilist from the Scaled Agile Academy in 2014, a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in 2014, and a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in 2012.
