Shannon Wilkerson

Shannon Wilkerson has over 10 years of experience in motion design and video editing. They are currently a Senior Motion Designer/Visual Effects Artist at OPSWAT. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Motion Designer at Mass FX Media and held the role of Senior Motion Graphics Designer/Visual Effects Artist at OneTen Creative (DISH) for four years.

Before joining OneTen Creative, Shannon served as a Senior Motion Designer/Video Editor at F+W Media, Inc., where they led creative projects using motion graphics and graphic design. They also worked as a Motion Graphics Designer/Video Editor at Time Warner Cable Media, where they were responsible for editing media for broadcast distribution and adding graphical elements to commercial spots.

Shannon began their career as a Video Editor at A3 Media Network, where they handled media acquisition, editing, and encoding for multiple platforms. They also worked as a Motion Designer/Visual Effects Artist at Zerosun Creative, creating show bumpers and opening animations.

Additionally, Shannon gained early experience as a Video Editor/Motion Designer Intern at PBS Distribution, where they assisted in creating show openings and collaborated with the producer and lead motion graphics designer.

Overall, Shannon's work experience demonstrates their expertise in motion design, visual effects, video editing, and graphic design across various industries and organizations.

Shannon Wilkerson attended Adams State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising, Marketing, and General Business. In 2006, they enrolled at the Colorado Film School and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Post Production in 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Shannon Wilkerson has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the Animation Bootcamp at the School of Motion. In 2017, they completed the Design Bootcamp at the same institution. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications related to Adobe software, such as Illustrator CC, After Effects CC, Audition CC, Photoshop CC, and Premiere Pro CC, from Train Simple between 2015 and 2016. Specifically, they completed certifications in areas such as Blends and Gradient Mesh, Building on the Fundamentals, Curvature Tool, Drawing & Coloring with Live Paint, Mastery, Web Patterns, for the Web, Fundamentals, SpeedGrade CC, Story CC Plus, Video and Audio Mastery, Compositing, Color Management, and Fundamentals on these software programs.
