Jifei Ou

Jifei Ou has been in the industry for over a decade. Jifei began their career in 2010 as a Designer for ART+COM. In 2011, they were a Researcher for Eindhoven University of Technology. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Research Assistant for MIT Media Lab and also worked on 3D Printing Research & Development for Autodesk. Since 2019, they have been the Founder & CEO of OPT Industries.

Jifei Ou obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Fabrication and Responsive Materials from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Soft Robotics and Shape-change Materials from the same university in 2014. In 2012, they obtained a Diplom in Product & Interaction Design from the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach. Finally, they completed their undergraduate education in 2008.
