Yannis Mastorakis

Yannis Mastorakis is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining desktop, web, and Android applications, focusing on real-time and offline audio and image processing. Since April 2020, Yannis has been employed at Optasia, following a tenure at ICS-FORTH from January 2016 to April 2020. Yannis has contributed to multiple research projects, including LISTEN, COGNITUS, FINE, DEDALE, and MyHealthWatcher. Educationally, Yannis holds a Master of Science in Multimedia Technology with a focus on Computational and Cognitive Vision and Robotics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from the University of Crete. Notable projects include the development of an immersive audio communication system for Yannis's Master’s thesis and a virtual audio library during the Bachelor’s program.
